“I became interested in art when I was about six and my mother drew a lamb for me in my catechism lesson. I started doodling whenever I had a pencil and paper.
I started painting in 1982 when I needed art to hang in my new home. Now I can’t look at anything without trying to put it in a painting. My inspiration is nature- it breaks the rule of composition sometimes and its up to me to recreate it. I am mostly self-taught, but did study drawing, color, and painting at Diablo Valley College.
My goal for the future is to help keep art in Vancouver.”
